Anonymous asked: why do you think zines should still be made?

so i have something interesting to read before i go to bed or when i’m on the bus eheheh.
but in all seriousness i love zines, i’ve been reading punk/diy/feminist/queer zines since i was like 13 and i’ve learnt so much about the world thru them and from people ive never met in real life or would hav never had those specific conversations with. i mean theres now wayyyy more mediums for people to share their writtings/stories/art/stuff etc etc etc i.e. tumblr and le internet without having to hav certain money or publishers censorship but i really like how articles n pictures etc in zines are presented, especially when hand made and photocopied and how you can have 100% full control of the layout, and i think zines are still so important cause they are tangible and exist in an irl way that the internet doesnt. and like always zines should continue being made cause it is people creating their own culture and having the freedom to voice their feelings, share info they know, express themselves, create the written media they want to exist and for others to be able to read or view that content and have fun or learn from it or find something that they agree with.
